These collapsible shelter / tent poles are issued to troops to make a simple field shelter from their issued basha tarp sheet or similar.
Each pole comprises three lightweight alloy sections complete with a rubber foot at the base, and a metal spike at the top to pass through an eyelet on the tarp sheet.
Elasticated cord within the pole keeps the sections securely attached and makes for easy assembly and packing away.
Each pole section is approx 30cm long, meaning the assembled pole stands around 90cm in height.
Short length of each section means carrying them is easy within a rucksack.
